It was too cold to go out, especially considering its a 20 plus degree drop for us since Wednesday, I know we bought it on ourselves but that’s still not funny amounts of cold.
So we bummed around the house, which was fine till mid afternoon then the blahs seriously started to descend. We will do better next week. make plans, do something.
I did give our old moggy a bit of a makeover. she doesn’t bother herself with anything south of her neck these days and looks like an old rug most of the time..
Sorry had to pause to try and unwrap some fatally screwed up Clingfilm. not sure why I tried really, part to be helpful, part to get one over on my annoying stuck in the house all day spouse. I ended up wrapping it round my head and sticking the picked off bits up my nose. Its been that sort of day.
Anyway The rug cat fought me every step, would not sit still, made muttered death threats as I lovingly dematted the mess that is her fur.
Then I sponged her over to try and freshen her up when she finally escaped, I let her go, but in her mind she freed herself from the evil grasp of this deranged human.
She didn’t run off but stayed the rest of the afternoon and I swear she sat a little taller, looked like she felt a bit better for the grooming.
Hubby, not the annoying spouse version, the date night quite yummy version and I will go out for a nice meal now, one we have been promising ourselves while chewing though the dry old meat of madeira. a delicious sausage and mash with onion marmalade and gravy and onion rings and the best brownies ever. topped off with coke in proper coke glasses and ice.
last time we went they had run out of sausages. I pause to let that horror sink in. I know, it was simply dreadful. we left of course.
Dan is calling as I type to confirm they do in fact have sausages this evening, this I have to hear.
